Logs - Overview of Logs by day, by period, Worked hours

1. Logs by Day

The Logs by Day page provides an overview of all driver logs for a selected date, displaying real-time information about their status, connectivity, and activity.

Key Features:

  1. Search & Filter Logs
    1. Use the search bar to find logs by driver name or unit number.
    2. Filter logs by duty status (Driving, On Duty, Off Duty, Sleeper).
  2. Sort Data
    1. Sort the list by:
      1. Driver Name (default)
      2. Unit Name
      3. Last Status Change
  3. View Driver Status & Last Activity
    1. Current Status – Displays whether the driver is Driving, On Duty, Off Duty, or in Sleeper mode.
    2. Last Status Change – See the exact timestamp of when the driver last changed their status.
    3. Location – The last known location of the driver.
  4. Connection & App Information
    1. ELD Connection Status
      1. Connected (Green Clip)
      2. Disconnected (Red Clip  )
      3. Offline (Red Arrows  - No Internet Connection)
      4. App Version – Displays the current version of the mobile app that the driver is using.
  5. Violations & Warnings
    1. Shows the number of violations and warnings recorded for the driver currently.
  6. Driver Log Details & Actions
    1. Details Button – Click to access the driver’s Log details page for more information.
    2. Download Logs – Export driver log reports in PDF format.





2. Log details page

The Log Details Page provides an in-depth view of a selected driver’s logs.

Key Features:

  1. View Driver Details
    1. See driver's name, current status, mobile app version, smartphone OS (Android/iOS), ELD type, and connection status
  2. Date Navigation
    1. Browse logs by date picker or arrows.
  3. Duty Timers– Countdown timers :
    1. Cycle Time Left - initial value is 70 hours (69:59)
    2. Drive Time Left -  - initial value is 11 hours (10:59)
    3. Shift Time Left - initial value is 14 hours (13:59)
    4. Break Time Left Until Mandatory 30-Min
  4. Vehicle & Safety Alerts – Notifications appear for:
    1. Odometer offsets - information about Vehicle, Offset value, Start and End dare will appear on hover 
    2. Upcoming DOT inspections (within 8 days)
    3. Driver presence in states with camera regulations
  5. Download Log Reports
    1. Logs can be exported in PDF format.
  6. Violation History
    1. View violations from the last 15 days.
    2. Sorted in reverse chronological order
  7. Log events
    You can see the chart of the driver's logs with driver's totals per day and system events (login/logout, engine power up/ engine shut down, certification).
    In the logs table you will see the details of the logs.
    1.  Diagram shows in visuals with details:
      1. Statuses:
        1. OFF - Off Duty
        2. SB - Sleeper
        3. DR - Driving
        4. ON - On Duty
      2. Icons:
        1.  Logout
        2.  Logout
        3.  Engine Power Up
        4.  Engine Shut Down


3. Worked hours

The Worked Hours page provides a comprehensive breakdown of driver work hours, rest periods, and compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations. It includes live timers, violation alerts, and total worked/rest hours for easy tracking. 

Key Features:

  1. Driver and Date selection
    1. Select the driver from the dropdown menu
    2. Define a date range 
    3. Click "Search" to retrieve worked hours data for the selected driver and date range
  2. Violations section:
    This section highlights any HOS violations detected within the selected date range.
    1. Violations appear as red alert boxesand include:
      1. 14-Hour Shift Limit Violations
      2. 11-Hour Driving Limit Violations
      3. 70-Hour Weekly Cycle Violations
      4. Mandatory 30-Minute Rest Break Violations
  3. Live Timers (Real-Time hour Tracking)
    1. Break - Tracks remaining time until the next required rest break.
    2. Drive - Displays driving hours used so far within the shift.
    3. Shift - Tracks total shift hours, including both driving and on-duty time.
    4. Cycle - Shows total hours accumulated within the current workweek (e.g., 70-hour cycle).
  4. Totals Counter  (Worked hours breakdown)
    This section displays a summary of the driver's worked/rest hours based on selected log entries.
    1. Categories: OFF DUTY, SLEEPER, DRIVING, ON DUTY, RECAP
  5. Worked Hours Table
    🚨 Rows highlighted with violations indicate a compliance issue for that date. Displays daily log details including the following information:
    1. Date - The specific day the hours apply to.
    2. Driving - Total driving time for the day.
    3. On Duty - Total time spent on duty (including driving).
    4. Off Duty - Total rest time taken.
    5. Sleeper - Time spent in the Sleeper Berth.
    6. Recap - Remaining available hours in compliance with HOS limits.
    7. Violations -  Shows if any HOS violations occurred that day.

To effectively use the Worked Hours page, select a driver and date range to retrieve relevant logs, then check violation alerts to ensure compliance with HOS regulations. Monitor the live timers for real-time tracking of available hours, and analyze the totals counter by selecting specific log entries. Finally, review the detailed logs for each day to ensure accurate tracking of driving, on-duty, off-duty, and sleeper berth hours. This helps users efficiently manage driver hours while maintaining regulatory compliance.



Logs by Period 


The Logs by Period page provides an overview of driver logs for a selected time range. This page helps fleet managers track driver activity, identify potential violations, and download log reports.

1. Overview of Logs by Period Page

This page allows users to:

  • Filter logs by driver – Select a driver from the dropdown list.
  • Choose a date range – Pick a start and end date to display logs for a specific period.
  • View violations – Any Hours of Service (HoS) violations will be displayed in red boxes.
  • See log event details – View all recorded log events, including status changes, locations, vehicle data, and timestamps.
  • Download logs – Export logs in XLSX or PDF format for reporting or compliance.
  • Access Timers – Check time tracking details related to driving limits.


2. Filters and Searching Logs

  • Select a Driver from the dropdown list.
  • Choose a Start Date and End Date to specify the period of logs you want to review.
  • Click Search to retrieve logs based on the selected filters.

3. Violations

The Violations section displays any detected violations in red boxes, including:

  • 70 Hours Cycle Violation – The driver exceeded 70 working hours in an 8-day cycle.
  • 14 Hours Shift Violation – The driver exceeded the 14-hour shift limit.
  • Other HoS Violations – Any other violations detected during the period.

4. Log Events Table

The Log Events section provides details about the driver's recorded activities.

Key Columns:

  • Status – The driver’s status at that time (e.g., Off Duty, On Duty, Driving, Sleeper).
  • Start Time (EST) – The exact time the log entry was recorded.
  • Duration – The length of time spent in the recorded status.
  • Location – The recorded location of the vehicle.
  • Vehicle – The vehicle associated with the log event.
  • Odometer – The vehicle's mileage reading at the time of the event.
  • Engine Hours – The number of hours the engine has been running.
  • Notes – Any additional notes entered in the log.
  • Trailer – The trailer number, if applicable.
  • DOC# – Reference to the document related to the log entry.
